I will be on a camping trip with undetermined internet accessibility from Saturday, May 26 to sometime Monday, May 28th. I may not be blogging much during this time, but I'll be back soon!

Ok, this is the rough pattern for that Belle dress. If I’m doing it, I’m making it as exact to the movie as possible, meaning no roses, no freaky (and annoying) netting, and hopefully yellow organza for the sleeves and the thing on the skirt. Also, the three while underskirt layers are probably going to have netting in between them to make the skirt poof, as a hoop skirt is tricky to sit in.

Guys, I even looked at the Disney World costume. It’s not pretty. I mean, it is… but that was the figure of speech. I feel as though the simplicity of the beautiful design has been butchered.

Also, if you guys have and ideas for closures on the top I’d love to hear them.

And thank you, Molly <3 I’m making the sketch for the pattern now. I’m even going to make a freaking hoop skirt if it comes down to that!! You just… you don’t understand how much I want a theatrical quality costume. I either want Mary Poppins or Belle, and I’ve settled on Belle because it’s feeding my inherent Beauty and the Beast obsession.

I love you guys. I’m working on a longer one using the Captain America shield on the clip and some skinny ribbon hanging down from it, then obviously Iron Man, the Hulk, and Thor.

I think I might do something navy and black for Hawkeye and Black Widow.
